PROFESSIONAL PANELISTS:

Laura Cely

Manager, Member Service

Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union

I am the Member Service Manager overseeing the Glastonbury and Rocky Hill branches. I joined Nutmeg State in 2022 as a part-time Member Service Specialist and was promoted to supervisor, then to manager. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Management and International Business. Originally from Colombia, I moved to the U.S. in 2019. My daily motivation is my family back home.

I believe that leading by example makes a meaningful difference, and I am passionate about developing my team and leaving a positive impact, on my colleagues, the members of the credit union, and the community whenever possible, by offering my support and guidance. My approach is aligned with Nutmeg’s core values of engagement, integrity, and empathy. I am dedicated to making a positive difference wherever I go, both professionally and personally, with the hope of inspiring others along the way.

In my free time, I prioritize a healthy lifestyle, going to the gym and eating healthy. I enjoy traveling to explore new places, and my goal is to fill my passport with stamps from around the world. I have learned that the best way to broaden my perspective, mind and vision is through experiencing new cultures.
